Trifecta Shawl
Knitted back and forth in garter stitch and using the intarsia colorwork method, the Trifecta Shawl has a playful and rich color-blocked look, with the jewel tones popping against the gray. This shawl is an asymmetrical triangle sized for wrapping around your shoulders or wearing kerchief-style around your neck. The worsted-weight wool comes in a range of rich colorways.
Finished Size 68½“ wide and 22½” tall.
Yarn Harrisville Designs Highland Worsted (100% virgin wool; 200 yd / 3½ oz): #53 silver mist (gray; A), #64 raspberry (pink; B), #13 peacock (teal; C), and #21 violet (purple; D), 1 skein each.
Needles Size 8 (5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 30 rows = 4” in garter st.
Notes
- This shawl is worked back and forth in rows from side to side.
- Slip stitches purlwise with yarn in back unless indicated otherwise.
- The color sections are worked using the intarsia method. Join a new strand of yarn for each block of color and twist yarns at each color change to avoid holes.
