A tribute to all who died on September, 11, 2001.

While watching a program about the 9/11 Memorial Museum, I was struck by the symbolism of the two tridents recovered from ground zero. These tridents, which were part of the original façade of the Twin Towers, will stand sentry in the Museum Pavilion. They are a message of hope and endurance in the face of tragedy.

Originally clad in aluminum, the tridents now stand, exposed, in their original reddish-brown steel…rising from the ashes.

The cuff is 10” stretched with US 2 and 13” with US 3. Since the 3 by 3 rib is not as stretchy in colorwork, it is highly recommended that you go down at least one needle size when working the foot, so that it will fit properly.

The instructions are written for my long, pointy toes. You may not like this, so feel free to change the toe to accommodate your particular needs.
