I recently sat down to knit a basic beanie hat, and I got the crazy idea to film the entire process. I wasn’t sure I could do it, but it ended up working out quite well! Watch while I cast on and knit a hat from the beginning to the end! “Knit a Hat Start to Finish” is a perfect tool for both beginner and seasoned knitters. If you are new to knitting, you can watch exactly what I do and cast on with confidence. The pattern is incredibly simple, and beginner friendly! If you are more experienced, check out my “Unraveled Tips” peppered throughout the video that show you how I quickly and efficiently change colors and deal with ends as I go! This pattern is the most basic version of a slightly slouchy beanie that you can make! The contrast cuff and pom pom make it a little more interesting, while keeping the knitting super simple. Yarn
Approximately 180-220 yards of worsted weight yarn:
✦ 130 (145, 160) yards of the Main Color.
✦ 30 (35, 40) yards of the Cuff Contrast Color.
✦ 20 yards of Pom Pom Contrast Color.

Needles
✦ US 5 & 7-16” circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
✦ US 7 Double Pointed Needles

Notions
✦ Stitch Marker
✦ Yarn Needle

Gauge
20 sts and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Measurements
Adult Small (Medium, Large): Approximately 20 (21.5, 23) inch finished circumference.
