Skill level: Advanced

This scarf is knit from the center down one side, then stitches are picked up and the second half is worked the same as the first. You’ll begin with a diagonal Eyelet Stitch that incorporates beads as you reach the last quarter of the scarf. Finally a gentle beaded lace ruffle is worked at the bottom edge.

When I was finishing my Trapeze Shawl Mystery Knit-Along, one of the participating knitters asked if I could design a scarf that used the same bicolored beaded ruffle. When I first conceptualized the scarf, the beading was worked throughout, but I quickly realized it would become too heavy. By gradually incorporating the beads, I was still able to utilize the beaded Eyelet Stitch as a design detail without adding excess weight.
