TransAtlantic
This pattern is part of my Sock Tributes II series!
On May 21, 1932, Amelia Earhart became the first female pilot to fly across the North Atlantic. She traveled over 2,000 miles from Newfoundland to Ireland in just under 15 hours. Five years later Amelia Earhart disappeared while attempting an around the world flight. Her plane disappeared over the Pacific Ocean and has never been found. She was 41 years old.
Her accomplishments remain an inspiration to this day.
TransAtlantic socks are knit cuff to toe in an easy to remember rib pattern.
I’d like to think that Amelia would have chosen such a pair for her famous flight. They have a unisex appeal. Written and charted instructions are included.
