Tramonto
In September the light in Rome takes on an especially golden color, best appreciated at sunset walking along the Gianicolo - the highest hill within the walls - and looking east over the city as the light gilds the domes and monuments. Tramonto was inspired by this scattered, golden, light.
Tramonto is an asymmetrical trapezoid that comes in four sizes ranging from a small shawlette to large shawl. There are also two shape options - triangle and crescent. As always, I include many tips for additional customizations.
Lace instructions are both charted and written. There is a photo tutorial for working the short rows in pattern included as a separate file. The tutorial is also available at my blog.
Techniques: Basic lace, patterned on one side only (YO, ssk/k2tog decreases, double and triple decreases), 2 stitch cables, short rows (optional), beading (optional).
