Traditional Baroque is a slouchy stranded hat, and it was one of two hats I designed for the CBD January MKAL. (See Winter Fun.) The design begins with a traditional stranded snowflake design, but elegantly morphs into the swirls and curly-ques we associate with the baroque style. This provided a fun mystery for knitters, as they tried to guess what was working up in their projects. Several first-time stranders worked this project with great success. Some of the many beautiful hats knitted during the month are pictured below to show you the great color choices knitters made, as well as their beautiful work. We had fun knitting along together in the group! Because the hat is stranded, you achieve double the warmth of a single strand of yarn without it being at all bulky. Thank you to all my friends, old and new, who participated in the first CBD KAL of 2017!
