Toukka Socks
Toukka Socks are worked from the toe up, using the magic loop method. Inspiration for this sock comes from the colors, textures and the chubby appearance of caterpillars (=toukka in Finnish). The design is for 4 colors, so it’s a great project for those leftover yarns! You use one color at a time, so no stranded colorwork in this design. When choosing size, please note that the stitch pattern has a looser gauge than the stockinette stitch sole, so the leg is looser than the foot.
Finished foot circumference (unstretched): 20 (21.5, 23.5) cm / 7 ¾ (8 ½, 9 ¼)” - to be worn with 2.5 cm / 1” negative ease.
