„Tonbo“, the japanese word for dragon fly.

Garter stitch, short rows and a delicate lace motive turn this lofty yarn into a romantic triangular shawl.

The construction is a variation of a classic triangular shawl, worked from the center top out- and downwards with increases. At the same time short rows help increasing width.

The effectful eye-catcher border uses an Estonian lace pattern with nupps.

The shawl is knitted with the ITO yarn „Shimo“. With its mix of 80% wool and 20% silk it is the perfect yarn choice.

The fabric is light but has a wonderful drape. The yarn is available in a beautiful color palette and especially the light colours help the patterns to unfold their beauty like the delicate wings of a dragon fly.

A balanced appearance is created by the nupps. Not only do they add an interesting texture to the shawl but also weight to the border.

Kraus Rechts, verkürzte Reihen und ein zartes Lacemuster verwandeln dieses wunderbar luftige Garn in ein romantisches Dreieckstuch.

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Variation des klassischen Dreiecktuchs, das aus der oberen Mitte nach Außen durch Zunahmen gestrickt wird. Der überwiegende Teil wird kraus rechts gearbeitet. Zusätzlich sorgen verkürzte Reihen dafür, dass das Tuch ein wenig schneller an Weite gewinnt.

Eine effektvolle Borte aus einem Lacemuster mit estnischen Nupps macht das Tuch zu einem Hingucker.

Gestrickt wird hier mit dem Garn „Shimo“ aus dem Hause ITO. Es ist mit seiner Zusammensetzung aus 80 % Wolle und 20 % Seide die perfekte Wahl.
Das Gestrick ist leicht, hat einen wunderbaren Fall. Das Garn gibt es in beeindruckend schönen Farben und besonders die hellen Farben bieten dem Lacemuster die Möglichkeit, sich voll zu entfalten, wie die zarten Flügel einer Libelle.
