This a good pattern for the advanced beginner that wants to try their first baby blanket. The only stitches used are knits and purls. There are both written and chart instructions. The rows are repeating and easy to remember once the design is established.

The size of the blanket can be easily changed. The width can be changed by adding or decreasing the cast on in increments of 8, and adjusting the center repeats for each increment. The length can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the center repeats.

I used approximately 4 1/2 skeins of this yarn for the blanket.
