Here’s the simple-to-wear summer top you’ve been waiting for…a classic shape with fun pops of colour. Toga Tassels uses shaped intarsia to create blocks that stack up the side of the top.
The classic shape is so stylish - pair with jeans for an everyday look, or with a pretty skirt to dress up for a summer picnic.
The design incorporates a range of techniques – shaped intarsia, short rows and i-cord bind off – and will be an interesting knit for both intermediate and advanced knitters.
This pattern has been professionally tech edited by the team at Knit Now Magazine.

Construction
The top is worked from the bottom up in two pieces, with shaped intarsia detail at the wearer’s left side. The twisted rib hem is followed by short rows to ensure the hem hangs evenly at the bottom of the intarsia detail column. The intarsia detail continues on the body. Once the neckline is shaped, the shoulder seams are joined and sleeve stitches are picked up along the armholes. Sleeve cap shaping is worked using short rows. Sleeves and neckline are finished with i-cord cast-off.
