Tobacco Road is the name of a colourway from MurkyDepths Dyeworks that I absolutely fell in love with. I knew that I needed to make something particularly special to showcase her incredibly nuanced colour. The sheen and the depth of tone in this combination of merino, silk, and mohair makes it almost glow. I just love it.

Tobacco Roads Sweater is knit top down and joined at the underarms. Sleeves are then picked up and knit down to the cuff. This sweater celebrates the qualities of both the merino single (used alone for the delicate lace), the mohair-silk blend (used doubled for the light and airy sleeves), and then both yarns combined (for a soft and draped body). A deep V neck, airy balloon sleeves and delicate lace details make this simple sweater luxurious and stylish.
