TITA includes video tutorials that ensure you don’t stand still at any time while knitting.

CONSTRUCTION:

TITA is worked top-down with some parts worked flat and others in the round.
The steps to follow for its construction are:
1.- Cast on stitches for the back to continue working down to the lowest part of the armhole and then these stitches are left on hold.
2.- Pick up and knit the stitches of both shoulders to then continue working the front down to the lowest point of the armhole.
3.- Join the front and back to continue working the rest of the body in the round.
4.- Finish the neckline edging.
5.- Work the sleeves.
And it’s ready! Time to find the perfect look for “como agua para chocolate”.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) covers a range of chest measurements from 80 to 140cm.

Final item measurements at the chest in cm:
90 (100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150) cm approx designed to be worn with approximately 10cm of positive ease.

The sample shown is a size 2 with 10cm of positive ease.

Gauge:

In stockinette stitch 10x10 cm are:
24 sts x 32 rows before blocking.
23 sts x 32 rows after blocking.

In cable pattern 10x10 cm are:
25 sts x 34 rows before blocking.
24 sts x 34 rows after blocking.

It is advisable to note down the measurements of your swatch before and after blocking to allow you to estimate the final measurements.

Yarn:

A summer fibre in fingering weight (175m=50g approx)

777 (865, 1004, 1114) (1284, 1405, 1554) m
222 (248, 286, 318) (368, 400, 444) g
5 (5, 6, 7) (8, 8, 9) balls

The sample shown used Summerlite 4ply by ROWAN (100% cotton, 175m=50g) in the colour cobalt 447

Needles:

• 3.5mm circular needles with a cable of 60 or 80cm, or size needed to get gauge.
• 3mm circular needles with a cable of 60cm, or 0.5mm smaller than your main needles for picking up the stitches of the neck and working the edging.
• 3.5mm circular needles or the same size as your main needles for working in a small circumference (9” cables, DPN’s or a longer cable for working magic loop) for the sleeves.
• 3mm circular needles or 0.5mm smaller than your main needles for working in a small circumference (9” cables, DPN’s or a longer cable for working magic loop) for picking up stitches for the sleeve.
• Cable needle (optional)

Other Materials:

• 2 stitch markers.
• 2 locking stitch markers.
• A long cable with a connector to allow you to try on the
item as you go.
• Blocking tools.
• A tape measure, tapestry needle, and scissors.

Construcción:

TITA se teje de arriba hacia abajo partes en abierto y partes en circular.

Los pasos a seguir para su construcción son:

1.- Montamos los puntos de la espalda, para seguir tejiendo hacia la parte más baja de la sisa y los dejamos en espera.
2.- Recogemos y tejemos los puntos de ambos hombros para seguir tejiendo hasta la sisa el delantero.
3.- Unimos delantero y espalda para seguir tejiendo el cuerpo en circular.
4.- Rematamos el escote.
5.- Tejemos las mangas.

¡Listo! A buscarle un bonito look de “como agua para chocolate”.

Tallas: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) cubre un rango de contorno de pecho de 80 a 140 cm.

Medidas finales de la prenda en el contorno de pecho:
90 (100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150) cm aprox, para ser llevado con una holgura positiva de unos 10 cm aprox.
El modelo de la fotografía lleva la talla 2 con 10 cm de holgura.

Hilado: Hilado de verano o invierno con grosor fingering (175m=50g aprox)

Estas cantidades son aproximadas. El metraje total de hilo empleado va a depender también del tipo de fibra, tensión o de las modificaciones que hagamos a la prenda.

En el modelo de la fotografía hemos usado: Creative Linen de ROWAN (50% lino, 50% algodón 200m=100g) color natural 621

Agujas:

• Circulares de 4 mm con cable de 60 u 80 cm, ó grosor adecuado para obtener la tensión de la muestra.
• Una aguja de 4 mm para el cierre a tres agujas de los laterales, puede ser de doble punta.
• Circulares de 3.5 mm con cable de 60 u 80 cm para recoger los puntos de los laterales.
• Circular de 3.5 mm con cable de 40 cm para rematar los huecos de las mangas.
• Aguja auxiliar para hacer los cruces (opcional).

Otros materiales:

• 4 marcadores.
• Varios marcadores de candado.
• Hilo de deshecho de color contraste o utensilio para dejar puntos en espera.
• Cable largo con conector para ir probándonos la prenda.
• Útiles para bloquear.
• Cinta métrica, aguja lanera y tijeras.

Tensión:

A liso o jersey

20 puntos y 27 pasadas son 10 por 10 cm antes del bloqueo.
19 puntos y 26 pasadas son 10 por 10 cm después del bloqueo.

Es aconsejable anotar las medidas de la muestra antes y después del bloqueo, de esa forma podremos estimar las medidas finales de la prenda.
