Meet Tinsel the Christmas Tree. He would like you wish you Happy Holidays (and he hopes that the rest of year will be pretty good, too.)

Tinsel can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

My Tinsel is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids using a total of five colors:.

• MC: Kelly Green (75 yards)
• CC1: Chocolate (20 yards)
• CC2: Duckie (20 yards)
• CC3 and CC4: Scarlet and Colonial Blue (less than 10 yards each)

Tinsel is an intermediate-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, increases, decreases, bobble stitches, joining pieces together with crochet and seaming.

The pattern has plenty of progress photos to help you decorate your new Christmas tree. Also included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although plastic safety eyes can be used as well.
