Timo-socks are a little tribute to Seitsemän veljestä (The Seven Brothers) novel by Aleksis Kivi, the national author of Finland. Timo was twin-brother of Lauri. Timo was an easy going lad, simple and earnest.

The socks have a heel which doesn’t require picking up stitches.

Fingering weight yarn in two colours (app. 400 m/ 437 yds per 100 g), MC 40 (50) 60 g and CC 20 (25) 30 g. The sample socks (size M) were knitted with Järbo Junior Raggi (75% Wool, 25% Nylon, 200 m / 219 yds per 50 g) in colourway 68407 Bordeaux Red (MC) and 68425 Barley (CC).

Note – size M sample socks have 15 contrast stripes and used the whole 50 g skein.

The sample socks (size L) were knitted with Lana Grossa Meilenweit 8 (80% Wool, 20% Nylon) in colourway 9557 Anthracite (MC) and 9567 Sand (CC) and used 80 g of MC and 40 g of CC and has 13 contrast stripes.
