Tilting Towers
TILTING TOWERS in one skein of lace. The blocks zig zag; tilting in an Escher-like style; making your eyes do a dance while focussing on the motif. Garter stitch borders lock the holey grid together and frame the shawl.
Uncomplicated and effortless to make – a rhythmic pattern repeat that is soothing to work; just a simple rectangle; no seams and two threads to sew in - one at the beginning and one at the end.
Cast-off loosely. I do suggest you block rigorously; wet thoroughly, lie out on a towel to dry naturally making sure to pull out to define shape.
