Tilting Lines Cowl
Subtle short rows worked using the German method add soft depth to the ruched panel of this lacy neckwarmer. The ruching is stacked to flow with the diagonal lace, adding lightness and movement.
Finished Size: About 101/2 tall and 25” circumference.
Yarn: Fingering weight (#1 Super Fine)
Shown here: The Fibre Company Road To China Light (65% baby alpaca, 10% cashmere, 10% camel, 15% silk; 159 yd 145m/ 1.75 oz 50g); Abalone, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size US 4 (3.5mm): 16” (40 cm) circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: 2 stitch markers (m); yarn needle.
Gauge: 20 sts and 32 rows = 4” in St st; 18 sts and 47 rows = 4” in lace pattern.
