I wanted to capture the famous Don Quixote in a shawl, from the windmills he fought to his lance and spear. I first designed this as a nursing shawl (in worsted weight, using size 8) and I loved knitting it up so much, I wrote up a lace weight and fingering version as well (2 skeins of 100g fingering weight, on a size US 6).

This is a charted and written out pattern, with an optional alternative pattern, where the windmills spin through the shawl. The lace weight model is also beaded, with beaded instructions included.
