Tierney Hat
Sometimes you just want a simple hat, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring! This hat combines the best of both worlds— relaxing reverse stockinette with an interesting and eye-catching closed-loop cable motif. Pick out a skein of your favorite yarn and have fun!
SIZES
Small (Medium, Large). Hat shown is size Medium.

MATERIALS NEEDED
Yarn:
Madelinetosh Tosh DK (100% merino; 225 yds/206 m per 100g skein): 1 skein in Jade
Recommended needles (check gauge and change sizes if needed):
US 5 [3.75mm] circular needle, 16” long
US 6 [4.0mm] circular needle, 16” long
US 6 [4.0mm] double-pointed needles, set of 4 or 5
Notions:
Stitch markers, cable needle, yarn needle
GAUGE
22 sts/30 rows = 4 in/10 cm in reverse stockinette stitch on larger needles
