The Pacific Northwest has been one of my favorite parts of the United States since living there in 2013. The magical coast is made up of jagged rocks, swelling waves, and gorgeous sunsets, turning the waters a beautiful, deep teal before darkness takes
over. Rachelle of Moondrake Co. worked with me to create my dream color fade, and as soon as I held these skeins, I knew I had to recreate the way the evening tide ebbs and swells as it makes its way to the rocky, shell covered shore. I wanted to create a piece that not only reminds of those nights in Astoria or Ecola State Park, but something that you can wrap up in and feel protected from the chill settling into the air as the sun sets on the ocean horizon, or on your next camping trip.
This generously sized shawl is close to being a shlanket, features i-cord edgings and a straight neckline. It feels luxurious to be wrapped up in! Designed to be beginner-friendly and memorizable, this is the perfect project for binge watching, zoom meetings, or car knitting!
