Tides of Time
This was such a fun pattern to create - and was such a wonderful collaboration! I love Round Mountain Fibers - and dyer Monica! When I approached her about a collaboration between her yarn and the Hand Dyed Diva yarn I dye with my co-owner, Sheri, Monica immediately said YES! I was really excited!
This shawl is worked in two color brioche. It’s a challenging, but really fun project. It’s not for brioche beginners, but will be fun for those with experience knitting brioche. The shape is pretty amazing - the way it forms a cornucopia, and you’ll definitely want to block this project when you finish to take advantage of everything the project has to offer!
Remember that although Hand Dyed Diva and Round Mountain Fibers were used by our sample knitting on one of the samples shown, the one I knit while writing the pattern was made up of a BUNCH of stash yarns! So, this is a chance to have fun with color. The one we did with Hand Dyed Diva and Round Mountain Fibers even has a bit of sparkle…! So, make this shawl yours through fun yarn selection!

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
18 sts and 24 rows = 4” in 2-color Brioche Rib stitch, after blocking. Save time by taking time to check gauge.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
After blocking measurements are as follows: Top edge: 44”. Shorter side edge: 41”. Longer side edge: 59”. Depth from center top to point: 22”.
NOTE
This shawl begins at the 2-color Brioche Rib stitch point and broadens out toward the striped, scalloped border to form a cornucopia shape. Blocking will help enhance the shape.
When working brioche rows in this shawl, work first color, slide work to other end of needles to work second color, and then turn the work only after the second color in the row has been completed.
