Triangular Shawl/Wrap, shown in LORE (colour: Stable) by The Fibre Company. LORE is a beautiful DK weight yarn, spun from lambswool of the English Romney sheep breed.

This is a generously sized shawl, which because of its plump and squishy ribbed texture, is warm and comforting to throw around your shoulders when the air turns chilly. Although gauge for this shawl is not as important as it would be for a fitted garment, it may make the difference between needing three or four skeins. The upside of this is that you may have enough yarn left to make a co-ordinating hat, or add pompoms to the points of the shawl.

Tide Turner is inspired by the pattern of tides, drawn out in wavy lines on the shore; their ebbs and flows are rhythmically interpreted with a rib and cable design that mirrors itself as you knit from side-to-side of the shawl. The pattern has plenty to keep the mind occupied, but also lots of space to relax between cable rows.

You will need 4mm straight and circular needles which will enable you to spread out as the stitch number increases towards the middle of the shawl. The design also calls for a two cable needle technique as the columns of knit stitches cross over a static central purl stitch.
