The Threshold beanie is worked from
the top down, allowing the length to be
adjusted as you knit for a comfortable,
personalized fit. Three brim options
offer different expressions of the design: a
minimal i-cord edge, a short brioche rib brim, or
a longer ribbed brim that can be folded double for
added warmth. The top-down construction allows
the brim style to be chosen at the very end.

Knit the hat in a single strand of DK-weight
yarn for a clear, structured fabric, or hold
fingering-weight yarn together with mohair, suri
alpaca, or cashmere for added softness and a
subtle halo. Using two strands also allows room
to explore color: choose matching shades for a
solid look, contrasting tones for a marled effect, or
speckled yarns for gentle variation.

The finished beanie is a versatile, understated
piece that balances simplicity with everyday
wearability.
