Thousand Petals
This spiraling scarf worked with short-row shaping is constructed width-wise—just keep on going until you run out of yarn! Double-ended Tunisian crochet techniques switch from side to side, highlighting the yarn’s contrasting and complementary colors.
Materials
The Unique Sheep, “Sushi Sock,” Tulip Festival Gradiance (60% superwash merino, 30% bamboo, 10% nylon; 192 yds/176m per 50g skein—768 yds/702m total in a 200g set)
CA: Begin with Gradiance skein #1, then switch to skein #2
CB: Begin with Gradiance skein #3, then switch to skein #4
For alternate yarns use 100g each of 2 contrasting colorways of fingering/sock-weight yarn.
US E/3.5mm double-ended crochet hook, able to hold at least 6”/15cm of loops. A hook with a flexible cable is recommended.
