What a quick knit and cozy set this is…
The cowl is knitted with a single strand first in the round then flat, which creates a big side slit. Style it many different ways as seen in the photos.

The fingerless mittens are knitted flat with the yarn held double. Two short seams leave an opening for the thumbs.

The patterns is fully written and a schematic is included for the mittens.

The cowls dimension when knitted to gauge are 19” in diameter, 12” in length. The mittens measure 6” in length and 4” around seamed.

Yarn
Allero, a light worsted weight, a 50/50 washable cotton/acrylic.
154 yards/50 grams per skein. Two skeins are enough to create both projects.

Notions
US size 6 (4mm) circular needle 20” (51 cm) in length.
One stitch marker.
Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge
Cowl: Single strand, 8 sts and 28 rows in 4” of (K1, P1) stitch pattern
Mittens: Double strand 12 sts and 21 rows in 4” of (K1, P1) stitch pattern.

Techniques applied
Knitting, purling, flat and in the round, binding off, weaving in ends.
Blocking is optional, samples weren’t blocked.
