An Openwork Pattern Enhanced With Quaint Little Sleeves

Smart little slashed sleeves are the most important feature of this bright cheery colored jumper. The openwork pattern is quite a simple one to knit, and the rest of the work is carried out in plain k. 2, p. 2 ribbing. The holes in the pattern serve as buttonholes, which is rather convenient.

MATERIALS.— Seven ounces Paton’s “Lacette” yarn. Original uses cherry, No. 02679. A pair No. 12 and a pair No. 10 needles; four buttons

MEASUREMENTS.—To fit 32-34 in. bust; length from top of shoulder 19 in.; sleeve seam, 5 in.

TENSION.—Ten stitches to an inch, measured over pattern patted out lightly, but not pressed: the pattern is very “stretchy.”
