Putting a modern twist on the vintage cable stitch, this hat is made with super bulky yarn. Not only is it unbelievably thick and warm, but it can be crocheted in just a few hours.

Materials used in the pattern are Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn; however, any super bulky #6 weight yarn can be used. Two colors are used, using less than one skein of each color, US size N (10mm) crochet hook, yarn needle and scissors. Optional faux fur or yarn pom pom can be attached. This hat can also be made with one color, if desired.

The teen/adult size fits 20-23” head circumference and includes instructions for the messy bun style with the hole in the top.

The skill level is intermediate and the detailed instructions include a photo for clarification of stitch placement with the cable twist. I am also available by email for any questions you may have, as I want you to be happy with your purchase.

The brim is worked in vertical rows and joined together, and then the body of the hat is worked in horizontal rounds from the bottom to the top.
