Vävnaden or The Woven One by Emma Jacobsson from the early 1940s. Recreated with updated instuctions by Solveig Gustafsson in 2004. English translation donated by Susanna Hansson in support of Bohus Stickning and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières

Two-color cardigan available in natural light grey merino wool background color with one hand-dyed pattern color in wool or black background with choice of various colors of angora-merino yarns.

This cardigan is one of the earliest Bohus pieces and one of the few designed by Emma Jacobsson. Unlike most other Bohus designs, the inspiration for this one came from an already existing textile tradition - a traditional Swedish weaving technique called threaded opphämta or smålandsweave (a version of opphämta), that creates simple and regular patterning.
