The Wind in the Oak Tree
This sock pattern was designed for the Sock Knitters Anonymous group for the January 2024 Mystery Sock, MOCK. It fits the Flora/Fauna theme.
The pattern is divided into four clues to be released on 1, 8, 15, and 22 January 2024.
Because it is designed as a mystery, no photos of the socks are present in any of the clues.
You will need:
Fingering-weight sock yarn (400-420 m / 100 g):
• Main colour: 80-100 g
• Contrast colour 1: 10 g
• Contrast colour 2: 5-10 g
If you wish, you can use only one contrast yarn, in which case you will need about 15-25 g.
Needles: 2.25 mm or size needed to obtain correct gauge, tapestry needle and 2 stitch markers (optional). The pattern is written for magic loop, but you can use DPNs or 2 circular needles as well.
Gauge: 32 sts and 44 rds = 10 cm in stockinette
Many thanks for test knitting and proofreading to gerstperson, MissCellaneous, Pitsiliina, sandysays and TiiQ.
