“The secret life of Walter Mitty” is one of my favourite movie and I wanted to recreate the sweater that the main caracter wears during the movie.

The sweater is knit from the top down, in the round, seamlessly. There are short rows to shape the top of the sweater. The body is knit in a textured stitch pattern. The sleeves are where all the action is, with a cross stitch pattern and cables nested between the same texture stitch pattern as the body.

All stitch patterns are charted and also have written instructions.

This pattern is more suitable for experienced and adventurous intermediate knitters.

You will need approximately (816, 900, 972, 1034) (1100, 1187, 1360, 1430) (1538, 1670, 1847, 1989) metres / (892, 984, 1063, 1131) (1203, 1298, 1487, 1564) (1682, 1826, 2020, 2175) yards of Worsted weight yarn

4.5 mm/US 7 circular needle and DPNs (adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge)
4 mm/US 6 circular needle
3.75 mm/US 5 circular needle and DPNs (for the collar and sleeve trims)

Tapestry needle, 12 stitch markers, cable needle, waste yarn or stitch holders

“The secret life of Walter Mitty” est un de mes films préférés et je voulais récréer le chandail porté par le caractère principal du film.

Le chandail est tricoté du haut vers le bas, en circulaire et sans couture. Il y a des rangs raccourcis pour former le haut du pull. Tout le corps est tricoté en point texturé. Les manches sont où se passe toute l’action, avec des torsades, un point de côtes croisées et le même point texturé que le corps.

Le patron comprend des grilles et des explications écrites.

Ce patron est plus approprié pour des tricoteurs expérimentés ou des intermédiaires audacieux.
