The Western Trillium (Trillium ovatum) is a flowering perennial native and beloved to the Pacific Northwest. This flower, unique in its three-pronged petal shape, is commonly known as the “Wake Robin” because it blooms in early spring, even before the robin returns to its nest. Trilliums are commonly found in forests, their bright white blooms softening the deep green ferns and firs of Oregon’s woods. This crochet shawl replicates that distinctive Trillium shape, with three pointed petals emerging from the center. Wear it in countless ways: draped over the shoulders, wrapped around the neck with one petal draping down, or in any way you can imagine.
