The Traveler Hood
DETAILS
Sometimes you just need a little extra something. Not a full sweater, but more than a cowl. Just a little extra shield from the wind to keep your core and the back of your neck (okay, let’s throw the ears in there, too) a bit cozier on those blustery days! The Traveler Hood is knit from the bottom up, flat, with short rows to shape the shoulders and hood.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on the yarn you use (fiber content, ply, etc.), your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make.

SUGGESTED YARN
For this hood I chose a classic 2-ply yarn, with a lovely twist for maximum squish. Bonus points - this yarn was created to put mill-waste to good use by combining a minimum of 50% mill waste fiber, blended with new wool, to make a dynamic zero-waste yarn! This yarn comes labeled as a DK weight, but I found it knits up for me more similar to a sport weight. Because of this, if you are going to substitute for a different, I recommend seeking out another sport weight, or light DK weight yarn.
