The Ten Minute Rose
A flower for your hair, or your jacket, or a bag … make a whole bouquet even!
Original knitted in Wendy Knitit, but similar yarns are Lion Brand Ruffles, Online Linie 194 Solo, or Schachenmayr Nomotta Geniale, Universal Yarns Tango.*
Each flower takes 2 - 2.5 yards of your chosen yarn, plus a small amount of matching DK / Sportweight yarn for sewing up, a button or bead for the flower middle, and findings / fastenings (eg. brooch pin, hair grips or elastics)
- it has been brought to my attention that the yarns abive have been discontinued. Fashion yarns come and go, and this is out of my control. However, following a quick search, I’ve just spotted several tape yarns that look as though they would do the job, by a firm called “Four Seasons Grundl”. The yarn names are Flamenco, Flamenco Twin, Tango Uni. As far as I can tell, they are all still available, hope this is of some help to you.
