The Stars at Night
“The Stars at night / are big and bright / Deep in the Heart of Texas” (Don’t forget to clap your hands as you sing along!)
Inspired by the big skies and bright stars of North Texas. This is a companion to Prairie Sky.
Worked flat, side to side. The borders, edging and star motif are both written and charted.
Skill level: intermediate - requires single and double decreases, double yos, following a non-repetitive motif
Sample shown in: Chicken Coop Dyeworks Butterfly Lace (80% SW Merino/20% silk; 875 yd/100g) in “Texas Sky”, 1 skein
Tech edited by Eleanor Dixon.
