This hat has been knitted in Nurturing Fibres Spaghetti Aran. This yarn is a Merino, Silk and Kid Mohair blend but the hat can be knitted in any suitable aran weight yarn.

This hat is knitted in the round on circular needles, using magic loop. It’s a fairly simple project and is so exceptionally luxurious and warm.

Gauge:
18 stitches per 10cm / 4 inches

Dimensions:
Circumference: 51cm / 20 inches
Height: 20cm / 8 inches
Each pattern repeat for the triangles: 4cm / 1 and a half inches

Materials:
Nurturing Fibres Spaghetti Aran 100g (130m / 142 yds), or any other suitable aran weight yarn
4.5mm / US7 circular needles including cable, 80cm / 32inches long
5mm / US8 circular needles including cable, 80cm / 32inches long
One stitch marker
Tapestry needle to sew in ends

Notes:
The rib of the hat is knitted in 4.5mm circular needles and then the 5mm circular needles once the body of the hat is started. This gives me a comfortable fit. I don’t like my hats too tight. If you would like a snugger fit, then continue knitting with the 4,5mm needles throughout and don’t change to the 5mm circular needles.

Happy knitting:)
Linda
