The Runway Wrap
Six or more colors combine for a riot of stripes in this long triangular wrap. Begin at the tip and increase in steps at regular intervals on each edge, until you reach the longest edge. A great stash buster, The Runway Wrap requires approximately 1000 yards of similar weight yarns in different colors. Be creative–there are no rules! Use the colors as you wish. Every Runway Wrap is one-of-a-kind!
Exact gauge is not crucial to the success of this project but if your gauge is looser, you may need additional yarn. Knit to the gauge you like.
Yarn
Approx 1000 yards of dk to worsted weight yarns in 6 to 11 (or more!) colors. The stitch gauge may differ a bit over the different yarns but as long as they are between 5 and 5½ sts per inch it will work. Knit to the gauge you like.
A note on color use:
Use yarns that contrast against each other (as shown) for distinct stripes. Or let the stripes blend into each other by using colors of the same value next to each other.
