Generally, when naming a pattern, I look for inspiration in the pattern. This time, I found inspiration in the yarn. The colorway, Arco Iris, knit up in garter stitch provoked in me, the same feel as an Impressionist painting. This project in particular reminded me of a Monet called The Rose-way in Gverny. The scarfy/shawlette is knit on the bias and has a lace edging that forms a scalloped edge. It also contains instructions to make a wide/wider version and a longer/skinnier version. Each size uses less than 1 skein. Knit up in the sport weight, Arroyo, this pattern flies off the needles quite literally.
