People with rebellious spirits tend to get a bad rap but often it is those people that make our world better because they force us to think differently, question authority, and stray from the norm to find new ways of being…new adventures…and new reasons to love the people and world around us. I designed this shawl in tribute to many of my heroes who brought out the rebel in me and changed the world for the better because of the rebel within them. Who are the rebels in your life?

The Rebel in Me is knit from the center-top down to create an easy to wear and cozy crescent shape that can be styled as a shawl or scarf to fit your desired look. The Rebel In Me features simple eyelets and garter ridges on a stockinette background creating lovely all-over-texture. The two-color brioche motif pays homage to the rebel idea with lines that veer away from the uniform straight lines. Finish with a bit of whimsy and an ultra girly vibe using a fun contrast color to add a garter border and picot bind off.

You’ll receive a chart and schematic in the pattern to provide helpful visual cues to supplement the written instructions.
