Another Yarn Fairy Original this circular shawl is split up the front, for ease of wear. Worked from the top down this shawl can be flapped as the need arises. Gorgeous S edging looks like a wrote iron fence. I have loved ravens since I was a child when I would call my friends out to play with a CAW. You will find our boys eyes, neck ruff and claws in this shawl as well as a feathered edging, ENJOY!

SUPPLIES
Yarn: Yarn Fairy Lace, 100% merino superwash, 870 yards per 100g, 2 skeins in Raven colorway
Needle: US size 4/3.5mm circular, 32 inches or size needed for gauge
Beads: Rainbow Iris size 8/0 seed beads, 1200
Gauge: 24 sts and 30 rows over 4 inches stockingette
Crochet hook: size 16/0.60mm for placement method of beading can be found here

The KAL for The Raven, was held 4-27-12 when the movie of the same name hit theaters. The shawl was not based on the movie though as the shawl came first, many years ago in my design book. I thought it was nice of them to make a movie for us don’t you think!

There is a bad report out there on one of the finished shawls about the yarn. WAY back in the very beginning (4-2012) we dyed this on NON super wash yarn and it bled, BAD. Since then we have become much more proficient dyers and this yarn will not bleed. We have moved on to superwash territory and now have something we call White Bowl. If it doesn’t pass the “white bowl” test (it’s literally put into a white bowl) then it goes back into the pot to cook until it does! Have no fear your yarn will not bleed.
