The Porch Cat
This cat’s favorite hangout is the porch on the Morgan Family home. She is friendly and social, and enjoys a good, long stretch after napping.
The pattern begins with a provisional cast-on around the “shoulders” of the cat; these live stitches will later become the start of the body. Short rows point the chest downward and the rear upward into her characteristic full body stretch. Worked lastly, the back legs are knit separately and seamed to the body after stuffing.
The Porch Cat is about 17 inches long (not including tail), 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide when knit with recommended yarn weight and needle size.
