The Pier Cardigan
The Pier Cardigan was inspired by a pier—a raised structure that rises above a body of water and usually juts out from its shore. A pier serves a purpose while physically standing out, and I found myself in this state of mind while making The Pier Cardigan: a textured crochet beauty intricately designed with a superwash, merino, and silk fiber fingering weight yarn blend. Created with Vidalana Linen Jewel, perfect for light summer wear or as a seasonal transition piece, this piece will bring you to the shore of standout creativity, with a true sense as calm as listening to the soft waves of the water at the pier. This cardigan is a relaxing work up for those docked with beginner to intermediate skill. In uncertain times like this, The Pier Cardigan will bring you comfort and a wearable piece from season to season.

NOTES
You will be crocheting with two skeins of yarn at once. Both skeins can be the same color or two complimenting colors.
The pattern is written for 2 different styles: a shorter shrug style and an oversized cozy cardi style. The oversized style will require additional yarn.
This pattern is very easy to customize for your own fit. To increase/decrease the length (measured across the shoulders and down your arm to your preferred length), adjust your beginning chain by a multiple of 7 sts. To increase/decrease the width (height as measured down your back), adjust the number of pattern repeats.
