“The Parting Glass” is a Scottish and Irish traditional song, often sung at the end of a gathering of friends. It was allegedly the most popular parting song sung in Scotland before Robert Burns wrote “Auld Lang Syne” It is used in America to close Pubs, and is often used to say goodbye. When it was time to design this sock my brother Ciaran’s son was killed. This sock is Goodbye, to the sock club, to my nephew and to a wonderful collaboration with karinmt.
