The Outsider is a top-down, seamless pullover with a relaxed,
slightly cropped, boxy fit and generous ease. Finished with 2x2 ribbing at the cuffs, hem, and neckline, it’s an easy, comfortable sweater you’ll reach for again and again. What makes it special is the fabric—reverse stockinette worn on the outside, letting the purl texture add depth and movement, especially with a variegated yarn. The pattern includes two options: knit it as written in reverse stockinette, or work it “inside out” using mostly knit stitches, then turn it at the end to reveal the purl texture. Knit holding BayDrift with BayHouse DK, the fabric is soft, cozy, and beautifully dimensional with a gentle halo.
