Every good story must have a love interest and so it is with the Naughty Little Cable.

The story begins with five little cables spinning alternately to the right and the left. The cable second from the right begins to vary—thicker or thinner, longer or shorter, changing direction and so on. As the scarf continues to grow, the variations become more extreme, and the cables begin to take on their own personalities.

The second cable tries to impress the cable next door with its antics, and the rest of the scarf tells how the story unfolds.
