The Long and the Short
Short rows and long colour changes are used to create ripples of colour rather than stripes.
The pattern looks like it has a lot of rows but some of them are only a few stitches long.
Materials: Lang Mille Colori Baby. 1x 50g ball will make a pair of wrist warmers or a pair of short arm warmers. You will need two balls for the long arm warmers but you will be able to get one arm warmer and one wrist warmer from each ball.
Equipment: 2.50mm hook, needle for sewing in ends.
Tension: 24 tr and 13 rows to 10cm square.
Finished size:
These are design for adults. To make them smaller, use a 2.00mm hook. Measurements are taken when they are folded flat.
Wrist warmers are about 11cm long, 12cm across the top and 10cm across the bottom.
Short arm warmers are about 18cm long, 12cm across the top and 12cm across the bottom.
Long arm warmers are about 22cm long, 12cm across the top and 14cm across the bottom.
