The Lightning Cardigan
This cardigan is fitted through the bust and waist with a flared hip. It is knit in the round with circular needles and having a pattern of zigzags reminiscent of the Navajo representation of lightning. This sweater was designed to complement the natural dyes used to color the beautiful yarn from the Navajo Churro sheep raised at Black Twig Farm. As such, the yarn is made from a family of colors from the same dyestuff, and one complementary color for accent. The design was developed to pay tribute to the Navajo people and their wondrous rugs made from Navajo churro yarn.
