The Lancet is a Gothic architecture term used to describe the pointed windows in many of the beautiful cathedrals throughout Europe. In Prague, we saw many stunning examples of that style, particularly in St. Vitus Cathedral perched on top of the hill, over looking the city. I so enjoyed Prague and its unique architecture. I wanted to create a lovely hat pattern that would always remind me of that beautiful and unique city.

The Lancet hat begins with the charted portion. It is knit in the round with a simple chart for the cables. It is also written out. The hat is knitted using only one size of needle from start to finish. If you would like more drape, then go up a needle size after the completion of the chart.

The hat is one size fits most. To adjust the size of the hat, adjust the size of needles you will use.
