This is a pattern for an ornately twisted shawl. The placement of the stitches gives the shawl a geometric look. It is quite warm as it is knit with light worsted weight yarn. The look is both unique and eye catching.

This stole is knitted with light worsted weight yarns and measures approximately 18 inches x 74 inches and requires approximately 1100 - 1300 yards.

The stitches are charted only. However, there are charts both in color and in black and white, so you can pick the easier one for you.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of knitting, purling, and either knowledge of twisting stitches or ability to learn) This shawl can be knit in a single piece, adding the second border at the end of your knitting, or if you want your second border to match the first exactly, there are instructions for attachment with the kitchener stitch.

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. This is the ONLY crochet in the pattern, the optional crocheted border.
