Easy, casual tunic pattern covers shapes if needed. You can easily change the fit by choosing smaller or larger size.

Hempyarn is quite hard on fingers while knitting. Try to wash the skeins before knitting, that might help. But the yarn and the knit will soften a lot after washing, and I recommend to put it also in the dryer, that’ll also help to get rid of the excess fibres. Do this also with the sample! Leave the knit a bit wet and block it; hemp has a habit of biasing but blocking helps. The light brown knit on the picture is knitted in the round. The green one is knitted in pieces and the pattern is for this version. This is because knitting in pieces helps the possible biasing and it’s better to block the knit in pieces. Biasing does not matter in this model, in my opinion, and it fits nicely. So you can knit the pattern also in the round, then you will knit the hem back and forth, and when you start the body, you can knit it in the round.

The surface of the knit will seem uneven nd like paper in the needles - don’t worry about it! It will become smoother after washing! Knit a fair-sized sample, wash and block it so you can see the changes. Although hemp is a hard material, the knitted structure will become surprisingly strethy after washing. The light brown knit is size 89 cm in chest but the model’s chest is approx. 100 cm. This is very important to notice.
