The have-it-your-way Crochet Hat Plan
So you have a stash full of mismatched balls of yarn, a burning desire to make something (and maybe a couple of small children and a house in desperate need of cleaning)? Don’t despair! Crocheted hats are the solution to your creative quandary. They don’t take much yarn, they work up quickly, and the method outlined here frees you from the constrictions of patterns—so you can use any yarn to make any size in a variety of styles. Making them won’t get your house tidied up, but at least you’ll be ready for next year’s Beanie Festival.
